Are Subframe Connectors of any Use?

I am considering the BMR or Hotchkis subframe connectors. I have heavily modified my Camaro. I already have Pedder's coilovers, bushings, and swaybars. I also have BMR trailing arms and toe rods. I am currently at 650+rwhp.

Have any other FI builds installed these and did you feel it was an improvement worth the money?

I have also replaced my Lower Control Arms with Spohn Performance parts.

Thanks, I would appreciate it if anyone who has installed subframe connectors could give their opinion.

Any suspension components are "worth it" in our opinion. Just depends on where the individual client wants to be with the vehicle. Subframe connectors are great for keeping the car tied together, whether or not you are a street or race car. Definitely helps stop the chassis flex.

I tell my client's after installing subframe connectors to hit a highway on-ramp & test them out. You will feel a lot less body roll & be able to take that ramp more aggressively with a better comfort level.

I thought about those too, but i have noticed that this car has a very stiff platform as is. I jacked up the rear right once and the left came up accordingly. Other model camaros yes but not "as" needed on this one IMO

With your horsepower level, I think you would be able to tell the difference with the connectors. I did the Hotchkis on mine and feel it was worth it. The car feels much more stable now especially in corners when you're trying to put the power down.

I added the Hotchkis connectors as well, but I did them at the same time as the FI install and BMR trailing arms. Wheelhop is greatly reduced, not sure which was the biggest influence.

Not a fan of the extra weight. If you've got all the bushings done, coilovers, and sways already then I guess that's all that's really left. Makes no sense for me though, since a cage is in the works, would just be extra dead weight

Talk to people that have the subframe connectors and see how they like them. Every customer I have sold a set of BMR subframe connectors to were impressed with how it made the car feel and the fact that it helped clear up some of the little annoying noises the car has when the chassis flex. They are super easy to instal and when used in conjuction with our tunnel they stiffen the chassis considerably without going overboard. If you are have any specific questions on the bMR subframe connectors or are interested ina set shoot me a PM or give me a call here at the shop.

Wow, I looked at both BMR and Hotchkis. There is quite a price difference. The BMR subframe connectors with the tunnel brace is $339.90. The Hotchkis brace is $632.95. I'm not sure where the price difference comes in.

The Hotchkis brace is a very well made setup. Oval aluminum tubes and fits perfect. I was hestitant to purchase it due to the price, but was very satisfied with it once I saw the quality of the part.
