In my endless searching for parts and mods i have run across a few vendors who will do layaway. Kind of odd though for something of this nature if true. Reasoning being if you can't afford to pay for the supercharger all at once. You can't afford to lose your power train warranty either.

I don't think he meant "down payment". I think he meant "paid for it", i.e. "put the money down".

Yes, i paid for it full in cash! Sorry, this was posted on my ipod touch. I understand the "lose your warranties" with a mod like this, that's understandable. But I'm still excited! I guess my performance guy was able to get the pullies overdriven from the factory. So we shall see, but he is predicting 10psi of boost and 140+rwhp on the 100 octane + existing upgrades it has on already. Only time will tell..

And daveagogo1 don't you lose any sleep bud, it's my toy not my daily driver. last time I checked I can afford it, My baby's all paid off yours?

I understood it to be 'deposit' or 'payment as in cash, check, cc'... NOT A LAYAWAY PLAN!

Magnacharger has powertrain warranties available; 3/36,000 5/60,000 or 5/100,000

Would you mind explaining that a little?? You have my full attention! I knew that there is a warranty option with the edelbrock charger, so i guess it would make sense...

Magnusen warranties the Magnacharger itself, but they also offer power train warranties for those that wish to purchase one. I think it is through a separate company and I can't think of their name off the top of my head. I'm out on my balcony getting ready to watch Fireworks, so I'll elaborate more later.

The OP mentioned overdriven pulleys, 10psi, 100 octane, and existing upgrades. I'm going to take a wild shot in the dark here and guess he's not eligible for any type of warranty from Magnuson, GM, or anybody else for that matter.

OP, if you are making 10 psi you can forget about the Maggie warranty. That only exists if all you have on your car is their blower and tune. Nothing else. Not even an aftermarket cai.
