BC Cruise Proposal (August) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

How about a cruise up the Canyon to Lyton and then across the Duffy Lake road to Pemberton and down to Whistler on Sunday August 14th. Maybe starting at BCIT with stops in Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and now Lytton to pick up cars along the way?

Great roads and spectacular scenery.

Char won't be able to bring the Skitzo down that week-end. There is a wedding here.I have not decided if i'm going to bring it down for the first bit or not. I will talk to Char when i get home tonight. If she wants to come down the week-end after.

Maybe somewhere more local would be better. BCIT to Lyton to Whistler back to BCIT is approx 8 Hours of driving, And thats doing the speed limit without any stops. Seems like a lot of driving for one day, over the course of 2 days would be better. Not to mention the cost of gas, ill probably go through couple hundred bucks.

It's only a suggestion. I think when we did it a few years ago it was 600 km leaving from and returning to Abbotsford. Very do able in a day. Worth the trip great scenery.

When we did it we left Abby at 8 am. We ended up in Whistler and did dinner at the Round House which include the Peak to Peak ride. We were home back in Abby at 10. Skip the 3 hours doing the Round House and Peak to Peak and it's very do able. Still have dinner in the village for those who want to and if people are pressed for time they can skip dinner at the village and continue on.

There is a great BC Hydro pinic area by Seaton Lake for a lunch stop right on the river.
