All I can say is...

Damn it. Went to drag and brag at Texas motor speedway last night round 1 up against chally rt won by 5 car lengths , round 2 new 5.0 beat me by 2 cars lengths at the end of the 1/8 mile.

Drop what weight you can and it'll be closer. A few mods and you beat that mustang (unless he mods, too).

Drop some weight... Throw some headers/exhaust and a tune on that and the 5.0 will be roasted. Unless of course they mod theirs... out of the factory, the mustang is lighter. Stock vs stock, it will be tough with that weight. This car REALLY comes alive with mods.

The class we are running are stock cai and exhaust and tunes only no major mods , that's the next class up, by the way what is the weight of a 5.0 I know I'm close to 4,000

Cool thing is one member out there evil rs with his running with vettes , sad thing is a jeep srt-8 beat a vette in the stock class I don't know how

So far I've had no problems with 5.0s at the track...however the GT500 is getting me!

Those jeep srt8 are quick off the line... When I first heard they would out run a vette I didn't believe it. What vette was it?

300+ pounds is a lot to drop without making some serious sacrifices. And NOT cheap if replacing existing equipment with lighter stuff.

Guy on here in TX named Caverman who is smart about mods, etc...Ithink he is from Dallas/Ft.Worth...you should look him up
