I wouldnt use that cam for a table leg! Its very outdated to start with. If you are going to go through the trouble of changing the cam, there are FAR better options out there that will yield significantly better gains.

its not out dated
![]() its also the only p/n different between the LS3 and LS3/476 there may be better, but its relatively painless if I just have to swap a cam and a wiring harness for 50hp because absolutely everything else on the 2 engines is identical by p/n |

I wouldn't call it outdated. Or of poor design. 50 hp from a simple cam change isn't too bad. Not too mention it follows the 10* or so split between intake/exhaust duration that you will see on EVERY cam mfr's camshafts for the LS3's.
Do other cams make more power? Of course. Because they have more lift and duration. This has less lift than stock, but more duration, and from what I have read from people who have installed this cam into their Vettes, it drives just like stock, pulls plenty of vacuum at idle, has no lope, and drops your mpg by about -1 while cruising on the highway. If you're wanting to make 500rwhp, this is probably not the cam for you. If you're looking to to make sure bolt on mustangs and SRT-8 challengers don't stand a snowball's chance in Hell against you, while keeping up with GT500's, then this is the perfect cam for you. |
