Stock manifolds w/downpipes HF cats - advice

I'm interested in picking up a set of downpipes with high flow cats to run with my stock manifolds. I've read that getting rid of the 4 cats and going with 2 HF will net you around 15 HP or so. The only things I have done to the car are a CAI intake and a Flowmaster American Thunder 3" catback. I will not be going the LT route with tune as I'd like to keep my warranty.

My goal is to pick up some throttle response and power in and around the low to midrange area.

I'd like to hear from the guys running stock manifolds and aftermarket downpipes. I have a few questions:

1) Any issues with it throwing a code with o2 extenders in place? If yes or no how long have you had the system installed.
2) Are you happy with the performance? Lose anything on the bottom end?
3) Are there downpipes that will bolt up to a 3" system? I have the tools and means to do it myself if it's bolt on but I can't custom fab exhaust pieces.
4) Lastly have you ran into any other issues with the setup which makes you regret installing them? Maybe something that you were expecting but wasn't delivered.

Input and advice is welcome.

Thanks
Ron

High flow cats are a nice performance mod. You should pick up a few horsepower, I wanna say I've seen 5-10 at the wheels. Most guys don't run into any issues with throwing codes but if you do it's usually a random code that can be erased at your local auto parts store for free. Most kits bolt right up and don't require o2 extensions or anything like that. We carry a few kinds.

Doing a full exhaust on Tuesday, but from my research the hi flow cats are worth the money. I am no expert on the subject, but I have been doing a lot of research. The throwing code part is 50/50. It really depends on whether you use Solo or JBA. Personally, I went with the JBA's because of the savings. I think both are quality products. I will know more about the subject once I install my headers, Hi flow cats, and Borla S-type catback on Tuesday.

I went with the Solo because they come with the O2 extenders that they machine in house.
No codes is a good thing and I just passed my inspection with flying colors.
Technically the O2 extenders are not legal if discovered in some states.
The sound is a really good benefit as well as the power.
The Solo's bolted up perfectly to my Corsa cat back.

That's pretty good! Fortunately where I live we don't have emissions testing but I'm sure it will be here eventually.
