My Pfadt stage 2 kit install review

Well I got my stuff in today and can't wait to install it tommorow. Funny thing is they sent me the wrong sway bar for the front. It turns out they sent me the one that goes to their racing sway bar kit. So now I have to wait and install it next week when the replacement one comes in.

More Pictures to come as I go tommorow. lol best place to spend a birthday working on my car.

You can still do the springs and rear sway. Those are the big ones anyway. The front sway is icing on the cake.

Hey MadMaxx, no better place to spend a birthday than under the hood of a car! Let us know how the install goes. Like Axis mentioned the springs and rear bar will make a big difference on their own, but the matched front bar will really work better with that rear than the bar you received. Our apologies for the inconvienence.

Your parts went in the mail today, you will be matched up in no time!

I know the rear will work didn't finish the original post cause I had to leave and theres no need to apoligze mistakes happen. I do however want to thank you guys for being helpful on the phone about it. I plan to throw the rear one in and then throw in the front one, when it comes in next weekend. Also heres some pics I decided to take of my brand new springs next to my car.

Oh and one more thing to add the kit came with those reinforcement brackets which is a bonus and I love the fact that the sway bars are painted black.

Does anyone know if I'm supposed to leave those rubber sleeves on the springs? In some install pics of other threads I don't see them installed?

I have coilovers on mine, so I'm not sure.

I have never seen them before in other pics. Send a PM to Pfadt and see what they say.

Yes you leave those sleeves on. They are there to keep the coils that are close together from hitting metal on metal when they compress. Most if not all aftermarket springs have those sleeves.

Are you using your stock end links or Pfadts?

You're good. The aftermarket ones make all kinds of noises when you turn the car or drive up driveways. Really embarrasing to drive.
Hopefully I can find an alignment or suspension shop that can fix these.

Make sure you grease the sway bar bushings real good with the lube they recommend, cause they really get noisy too. At least I think that's what is making all the squishing noises.

To answer some questions posed in the thread here:

Leave those rubber rings included on the spring, on the springs.

Aftermarket endlinks for these cars can be a handful if they aren't setup properly. The best thing you can do is ensure that they are properly torqued, and the Hiem Joints are properly aligned and not at an acute angle while the car is at ride height. We are working on an endlink solution we feel will take care of noise issues experienced in the past. Keep an eye on the stock endlinks though, they do have a tendency to bend.

Use plenty of lubrication between the bar and the bushing. None is required for the interface between the bushing and chassis, or bushing and bushing bracket. We supply an extremely tacky, high quality marine grade grease with all of our poly bushings that should provide a long squeak free service life. They may need to be periodically relubricated, it's something to keep an eye on every few oil changes.

Let us know if you have any more questions!
