Just had to do it.

Went ahead and had keyless entry and push button start installed to my 2LT/RS. It is the coolest thing. Purchased the kit from Advanced Key in Canada. Way over my head so the audio shop here in town plugged it all in and works like a charm so far.

looks clean i like it i mean its basicly almost like 75% keyless start from the get go

i am not sure about everone else but speaking for myself i just twist the key and let go you dont need to hold it for it to fire over it does it automaticly

so on that level its nearly there sence it self starts just need a button so i like it looks factory if i had the money i would do it in a heartbeat

*side note* the key fob for the volt is keyless entery and keyless start so if you could upgrade the computer alittle more all you need is the fob in your pocket and a button dont even need to put the key in to fire it up i wanted to do that sence i seen the volt was keyless start and enter like a benz or something

Do you still have to insert the key in the ignition? Do you have to turn it to the run position? Looks nice but I need more info on the operation.

go out to your camaro twist the key and let go unlike old cars you dont need to hold the key twisting to start it it will auto start for you

*edit* found that out by accadent my hand sliped once when starting i was like "CRAP CANT BE GOOD FOR MY STARTER" (mid start) but to my suprize it just fired its self up so now i just twist let go then do my other choirs IE seatbelt on and mirrors ect befor i put it in M

Here is a link to the site. Explains almost everything. The car starts as before I just quickly tap the button and the car starts. Don't have to hold it down through the entire process. Had to cut one of the keys to go into the ignition and put the car into accessories to disable the wheel lock. But they rigged a switch to allow me to go back to key start if I had a problem.

Meh... Kinda seems like having to put the key in the ignition and turn it defeats the purpose of having keyless start. I mean, isn't the whole point of those systems in the first place that you don't have to take the key out of your pocket at all? It just seems like a lot of money to spend to still have to put the key in, and turn it, and then press a button to hear it fire up. Just my two cents though. It doesn't look terrible or anything it just seems like something else on the dash that doesn't need to be.

It looks factory to me, very clean. Though I never really understood the appeal of a push button start if one would still have to turn the key.
