Too tall for the camaro...
I have been saving up for a camaro since the 2010's came out. I've decided to get a 2lt manual. So today i went to test drive one, and i don't fit. WTF!! I'm 6'3". Isn't this like a normal height for most guys who are middle aged? This totally ruined my day and my dreams. My head is touching the ceiling and i have to duck my head down to see anything... I have to bend my knees dramatically to push the damn clutch in. Are any of you camaro owners my same height?
Also, is there any such thing as being able to mod the seat to make it go back further? Seriously, you would think a car company would design a car with everyone in mind. |

Did you lower the seat and have it back all the way? I know theres some pretty tall guys on here that drive their cars without any problems. Hopefully one of them will come in and tell you what they do.

It was all the way back i checked. But could it be that the seat doesnt move all the way somehow when the car isnt on or keys arent in?

Did you pump the lever to make the seat go all the way down ?

If I remember correctly the same switch that moves it forward and back also goes up and down. |

IIRC (I haven't seen/driven the car in a month :( )the "up and down" on my 1SS is electric, and on the side of the seat. Should be the same on the 2lt.
I'm 6'2" AND have the sunroof, so I loose some more head room, but I still manage to drive the car comfortably... Although it does take me a while to get the seat set right again if someone moves it, like if I take it to the dealer for service... But once it's right, its usually good. The only problem I have is wearing a helmet when I go to the drag strip, then I have to tilt my head to the side, most likely because of the sunroof. |

I'm 6'4" with no sun roof, and I don't have any problems.

I don't know about that... From reading an above post there is a pump/jack lever that moves the seat up and down on the LS? (much like a VW Jetta or something)...I don't know if the 1LT has the jack lever, or is electric also... Gotta research it.

Like you, I plan buying a Camaro. But I'm 6"7, and I was worried about that. Fortunately, I was able to try enter a 1ss Camaro and ... that's fine, with the seat all ways back and down. Not a lot of space available between my head and roof, but that's ok. In this video (2mn37s), you'll see Lebron James (6"8) and his Camaro ![]() Keep the faith ! Oliv59 |

I'm 6' tall and have no problems once I'm in the car. I have to get in the car like I'm wearing a miniskirt and no panties- sit down on the seat with both feet on the ground, then pivot into the car- but once I'm in, its all good. I do have to play with the seat to get it just right every time I drive it, because my hubby drives it more and he's 2" shorter with legs that are 4" shorter.
