Don't know but I think it has something to do with your user name.

Keep us updated, I'm dying to find out!

I've talked to Vince from Trifecta who has been great with the customer care btw, he told me that it might just be because of the cam phasing on a cold start because I have the ghost cam and it shouldn't be anything to worry about

and here I was sure you was going to show that whistling sound that happens when you depress the brakes during a cold start. At least mine does that..and has since new. It was common on the 2010s, but I don't know about the more recent builds.

But as for your sound....

My car makes the same noise. I've got an 2009 LS camaro. I notice it when I've been driving for about 30 mins and then I park the car. I get out and it makes a clicking noise after I've turn the engine off and got out of the car. It's an automatic.

So his happens when the engine is running and yours happens when it's not?

Got a video? I'd love to hear it.

I was about to think that his was the starter gear not retracting quickly enough/thoroughly. BUT if yours happens when it's not running???

technically I got it in sept 2009. the VIN when I take it in for service comes up as a 2009 model. It's a 2010 to any other ordinary person.

I would have to suggest that both of you have your vehicles checked out by your dealerships to make sure there isn't anything wrong with the vehicle that would be making them make this noise. Hopefully none of this is serious and both of you can come out of the dealer with a clean bill of health. Let us know how it goes if you decide to take the vehicles in.
