Tail light chrome removal

I just finished removing my chrome around the tail light. A little tip on the removal as I pressed the tab down from inside the trunk I slipped a piece of plastic over tab from the out side to keep tab from relocating. I did this for th top two tabs and the just worked around the casing. Took all of 5 minutes to remove all 4 chrome surroundings. Just a little tip for those who would like one.

be careful as they are sooooo fragile. Oh and if you are painting them, make sure u sand down everyspot so it all looks really scratched or else youll get tiny little marks that dont hold the paint

I've been reading people using plastidip to spray the chrome bezels and it can be peeled off just as easy. Kind of like a vinyl spray. I'm gonna try that and go buy some cans.

haha its funny you mentioned the plastidip, a buddy of mine just did his 20" RS wheels and his emblems with that stuff and they look pretty freakin good in the black. I think I'm just going to do that for everything I want to make black on my car such as the bezels, wheels and emblems.
