So I've had my Camaro for about 2 weeks or so now. I've had a Mitsubishi Eclipse rev his engine at me at a stop light and two Infiniti G37's try to get my attention to race me by revving their engine. It is kind of annoying. I didn't buy the car for street racing nor will I ever use it for that. Just wondering if I was the only one to experience this or not.

Nope your not alone, when I first got mine I had an older mustang 5.0 as well as a newer gt model blow past me showing off what they have even tho I was traveling the speed limit.

I have to admit that i do the same when i am next to a mustang or challenger but it is really annoying when the ricers do it and expect you to race them especially rusty and all dinged up ricers.

I had a Mercedes with a family inside try to peel out next to me on a cold day last November while I was sitting at a stop light. I just laughed out loud and pulled away slowly from the light when it turned green. It was in the high 30's and I've got the P Zero's.

Yea. I couldn't believe the Mitsubishi with its fart can wanted to race. He would've been smoked. His paint was faded in spots and he looked like he was 16.

So they had a lot more weight and thought it was cool to be an idiot in winter... Einstein's I tell you.

some1 in a piece of crap car reved their engine on me last week it just makes me laugh. its like, dude a little tiny corner of my car is worth more then ur entire car what are u thinking??!! haha

I rev at other cars all the time. Not intending to race it's just how I say hi. Granted some just look at me stupid but I've gotten an BMW M5, Audi S5, Ferrari F430, and a Nismo 350z plus a few SS guys to rev back and then roll down their windows.

I like hearing other engines, and it's a good way to meet some people, out of the listed cars above the guy in the Ferrari was the best. Total opposite than you'd expect.

Yea don't get me wrong. Revving at cars can sometimes be to get attention to say hi and such, but the eclipse guy was wanting race. Why? I have no idea. The two Infiniti's for sure wanted to race. One came up right behind me and rode my tail. Then last minute swerved into lane next to me and got right along side me. Then rode beside me for a good few miles revving his engine randomly on the highway. The other this morning came right next to me. And I looked at him as he kept pace with me. He just kept looking straight. So I don't know what his problem was.

I used to have ricers do that to me, until I put my 312hp decals on. Now nobody does it any more.

It has only happen once to me. I'm in the fast lane. I look in my rear view mirror there is a car weaving in an out of traffic. I'm thinking this person sure is a hurry. The guy jumps in the slow lane moving up on me fast well over the speed limit. I'm thinking good this guy will fly on up the road and clear out any Cops ahead.

He gets closer, I'm expecting he to blow past them. He doesn't. I look in my Passenger side mirror. What the??? He slowly starts too even up with me. His all out his window looking my Camaro SS up and down. Since his looking soo hard(Keep in mind his driving), I wave so he doesn't think I'm a Jerk.

For about a mile he matches my speed still looking at my Camaro. At one point, he came over in my lane for looking so Hard. I move over about 1/4 into part of the Center Turning lane to make sure this idiot didn't hit me and gave it some gas to put a Gap between me and him.

Here this dummy comes trying to caught up. At this point, It Finally dawns on me this idiot wants a Race. Long Story short he gets block out by a Car changing to from the slow lane to the fast lane for a car making a Right turn.

HERES THE KICKER: he was in a 2004-2006 Maxima a Maxima!!!! Come ONNNN!!! I almost had to pull over from laughing so hard. As Hard as he was looking he should have seen the Red 'SS' on the Truck Lid.

My advise, Just keep driving normal. Unless of course the idiot is about to hit you.

I've said it before and it works every time; if someone approaches you looking to race just do something completely out of the ordinary and watch in amazement as the losers go away! When I get approached at a red light I will frantically beep my horn and nod my head like a night at the roxbury until they loose interest...and believe me it doesn't take long!
