How much would you pay to get a set of 18" Steelies from an LS? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Simple question for everyone that lives up north and is looking to put the 18" steelies on their LT cars as winter wheels. Sorry, SS owners, fbodfather confirmed that the 18's won't fit over the Brembo's.

How much would you realistically pay to get a set of 18" Steelies from an LS? With new stock tires (245/55R18 BFGoodrich Radial T/A)?

Just trying to get a general opinion of the "real" value of these wheels in the resale market.

OK. The 18's won't fit over the brembos, but the Racer they showed at SEMA had 18's?
Did it have factory brakes? I doubt it. Will the 19's fit over the brembos? Why on earth do we have to have wagon wheels on all new cars? I'm not especially interested in having a Donk. Will there be lightweight wheel options if we MUST have 20's?

If I had some, I would gladly pay someone $50 to get them out of my garage.

As new take-offs ... wheels only (w/ trim tings & caps) I'd say $200~300 a set.

Tires are "T" rated Touring tires, they would be of no use to me especially if I was swapping snow tires onto them ... when would I use them ??

If the car I was putting my snows on was a "1LT", it would have the exact tires on it and when dead, I'd replace them with "H" or higher speed rated UHP or HP All Seasons rather than going back to "T" rated Tourings.

If the car I was putting them on was a "2LT", factory rims are 19" and I would really have no use for a set of all season 18" tires !!

If i were to keep my '74 I would pay to put some of the 2010 steelies on it.

Not sure but I'll be watching this thread as I'm interesting in using the LS 18' wheels for winter.

The Wheels on the LS are very polarizing -- I've had people send me notes asking if they could buy a set for 'winter use' (the answer is 'yes' for V6 -- and 'no' for V8 as they won't clear the brembos.....)

Important to keep in mind that the LS should be considered 'base' -- a canvas, if you will, to some.........
