2 Year review 2010 Camaro LS, gas mileage, modifications, ect. Pics and videos

Very quickly coming up on the 2 year anniversary date for my Camaro LS automatic. I'm approaching 40000 miles on this daily driver and still love getting in it each and every time. The only real negative I can conplain about is the paint. If I had to reorder it again I would have never gotten black. It looks so good clean but 3 minutes later its dirty again, not to mention it is such a pain in the winter. Of course it has the same chipping issues that everyone else has, so Dr Color Chip has come in handy.

I've made some changes along the way and decided for the most part less is more. I think that speaks volumes to the fact that GM got the design right. I spent plenty of time looking at aftermarket rims and spoilers only to end up going stock on both. I've always been in love with chrome on black cars so I added a few pieces here and there but tried to keep it simple. I had the chrome fuel door at first but went back to black because to me the chrome door messed up the lines of the car.

I've stuck to mostly stock add ons to the interior with the exception of the Drake shifter and cup holder plate. I think they compliment eact other well. I plan on adding the aux gauges soon.

No real changes under the hood. Just a CAI and a custom engine cover. Running it all thru a Magnaflow sport exhaust. Maybe I'll look at a newer CAI in the future as well.

I've posted a time or two about gas mileage on here. I didn't get the car for the mpg but it has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. With the 18's I was running a bit over 29 mpg and well over 500 miles on a tank of gas. Since switching over to the 20's I've found my mpg have decreased to a little over 27.5 mpg and maybe 500 miles on a tank of gas, still respectable numbers.

This is the first car I've had my mind set on keeping for an extended time. Maybe it goes in on a new Camaro in 2014 or so. Until then I guess I guess I try to stop buying the little extras for the car that make it mine and keep the old lady yelling at me about spending money on it.

Agreed with 100% on my LS.
2 years and the car still impresses me every time I get in it.

I even get up to 33 MPG HWY with the stock 18" gear head wheels and
stock intake and exhaust.
