I bought one but haven't installed it yet. I drive mine like I stole it so I actually don't get the 1-4 shift message very often

For 10 bucks though you can't go wrong

hahaha hell yea. I'm with you there. I believe the only time I see it is if i'm in a parking lot or something of that sort. Usually the rpms are too high to register it. lol

To me, the one people sell is not worth the price. You can buy a resistor for about 10¢. That's what I did.

Realized I didn't really answer your question. I think the cheapest place to get one is at Apex, take a look in the sponsor classifieds (Transmission/Driveline) he has them listed there with a coupon code that lowers the price and gives free shipping.

I quickly became annoyed of the Camaro shifting to 1st - 4th gear. I tried different methods of shifting but it still would shift regardless. So I went with Apex and ordered the Skip shift eliminator from them and haven't had a single problem with it.

I hope so, mines in the mail right now. At first I would just avoid it but after a couple of times in traffic of dealing with it and swearing at it , I decided it's cheap and easy enough to just eliminate it.

YES - it's worth it. People get manual transmissions because they want to determine what gear they drive in. The CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Selection) forces you into the gear that it decides on. I liked my car that much more after I was able to shift without thinking and didn't have to perform a computation in my head to determine if the car was going to shift into 4th.

Google the skip shift eliminator to find one closest to you, or get the lowest price online, live with it for another week, and have the part shipped to you.
