Not gonna give anyone shit TRM...just tryin to show someone on here that he is wrong telling me they are making cars according to the order dates

You are absolutely correct. First and foremost, they are making cars based on your priority number at the dealer. I was #1 at a different dealer back in October but switched to a dealer who is honoring GMS/GSU. I was the #3 spot at the new dealer but got moved up to #1 because of the CGM and V6 constraints at the time they were given an allocation to be pulled. If someone had found a dealer with a decent-sized PGN (15+) that hadn't pre-sold any cars yet as of two or three weeks ago and put their order in then, they would probably be pulled by now.

So, Badger, tell us who the doubter is that thinks order date counts for something. Must be a noob. If not, they deserve a good thrashing!

Order date is only relevant to a particular dealer. There is no comparison to be made from dealer to dealer. What matters is guide line, concensus and allocation.

Ordered Jan. 2 and got my VIN this past Tues. Only because I am #1 at my dealer.

It doesn't MATTER when you ordered....it's all about the allocation to dealers. A dealer could have put his first sold pre-order in March 14th and been one of the first. I don't know the formula, but the reasoning was discussed many months ago about laws etc etc and how it fair to all the dealers selling for Chevy. Being "first" at your ordering dealership paid off - placing an order in October does not (escpecially if your 3rd, 4th , 5th, etc)

im number 1 and my dealer ordered on 10/19/08 i was told my order was pulled for production but i have no vin as of yet.
