Noticeable power increase in cool weather

So I got my SS about 6 weeks ago. I live in central MS where it has been consistently in the mid to highs 90's. Well, this morning it was 55. I cant believe how much more powerful the car feels in this cool weather. Bring on the 30's and 40's! Just when the permagrin was starting to wear off...its back.

Becareful what you ask for. When the 30s hit won't be long before you have to put her away for the winter.

FLORIDA ROCKS!

I grew up in FL and went to college in FL, it does rock, but way to hot year round. She will never be put away for winter here in MS either. We may get snow 2-3 days a year. The rest of the time it's just "cold" which is 20's-30's for us FL natives.

Yes, naturally aspirated engines will run noticeably better when the air temps drop due to the density of the cold air.

Also, not running the AC helps. First day I could run w/o AC in a looooong time, it felt like a whole different car.

We finally got some cooler temps in north Texas too. It's been well over 100* all summer and finally dropped into the 60's and 70's this weekend. Definitely a noticeable power increase. It was nice to finally cruise around with the windows down and AC off too.

I noticed the same thing this morning here in south Louisiana. It's one thing I have to be thankful to Tropical Storm Irene for! The weather today is absolutely perfect!
