The Heart Beat of America is Back!!

I wish GM had some money for some advertising, right now with the Camaro back they could say the Heart Beat of America is back with the new Chevy Camaro.

Camaro, Apple Pie and Baseball. Thats America.

Scott, I think it is a little more complex than just not having money for advertising. GM isn't going to start a serious advertising campaign until someone can walk into a dealer and get one of these cars. Look how much bitching is done by us "enthusiasts" because we don't have cars yet. Imagine the revolt if the general public sees a Camaro commerical, runs to their dealership to get one because it looks so awesome and then is told they will have to wait until late summre or fall? Commercials will come in due time.

Given it's financial issues at this time, I think if they decided to re-use the slogan, they would need to modify it a little bit.

"The pace-maker assisted Heartbeat of America"

Better yet, revive the "like a rock" campaign from the 90s.

"We're GM.

As a staple of America like Apple Pie and Major League Baseball, we help make up the fabric of this nation, though thick and thin.

And just like America won't go anywhere anytime soon;

We're the same. Immovable, 'Like a Rock'."

*Bob Seger sings a rerecording of Like a Rock*

Bite your tongue! That phrase along with "Like a Rock" were played out just a bit too long
