Question: Are Male Camaro2010 enthusiasts "Compensating for a small...." ?

Why do women always say this?

Every once in a while, my GF will say that men including myself, are buying the new Camaro to:

- Get back some youth
- Get attention from women
- Compensate for a perceived smaller wee-wee
- To be a DUDE
- To gain some Freedom

etc etc etc...

When I reply with "No, darling, I just like this car and it will make me happy to drive it", I am not believed.

And when she gets together with the other, um, Hens (shhh!) she says they all say the same thing about their husbands/bf's when it comes to the rides they drive...

Why do women say this? (Would appreciate hearing from any women out there who read this too!)

Very true. When she says that again, ask her then why does she have nice shoes, nice clothes, and wears makeup? Is she :

- Getting back some youth
- Get attention from men
- Compensating for something else (You can added anything here )
- To be sexy

I'm surprised you all haven't gotten the response "well my shoes,makeup,clothes,etc dont cost 40,000"

Yea but honey it might not cost all that at once but add up everything you bought it will probably be pretty close.....(they dont like to add up their stuff well mine doesn't anyway)

There will always be guys that feel owning a bad-ass car makes THEM "bad-ass" (just read this forum a little while and you'll see them make themselves known.)

Men with small johnsons, or that have trouble with women, or that their butts kicked constantly when they were young, think that they can compensate by having a burly car. That's part of life.

Myself, I could care less what someone else thinks. I'm getting this car because:

1. It's sexy
2. I've never had a sports car before and I believe this is the last of a dying breed.
3. Because I want to.

That's that.

And on top of that, it's hypocritical of a woman to accuse men for overcompensating. All of the plastic surgery a lot of women do is the equivalent of getting a sports car. Doing it all to get attention. Never mind the short skirts, plunging neck lines, obsession with getting in shape (especially this time of year). It's all to gain a man's attention and to outshine other women.

Again, hypocritical.

-I'm 25 in november so I'm plenty young already.
-Attention from women wouldn't be bad, but it's not the main reason at all.
-Let's just say, no, not the reason either
-I am a dude! Just not aspiring to be a capital one.
-I have freedom with my current car.

For me it's the feel of a V8 and RWD, the feeling of having earned something for me, and the feeling of having a great car that I love.
