tint- Need help fast!
hey guys!
im getting tint for my windows tomorrow, and i need help on what kind to get. as far as i know there are two types, ceramic and metallic. what are the difference between the two? and how dark do you think i should go? i know its illegal but i dont really care. im thinking about doing 20 percent all the way around. (except for the windshield) also, the kind i am getting is solargard. thanks so much for the help!!!

well ceramic tint is made of ceramic and metallic has metal in it. Go with ceramic as the metallic tint will mess with your radio reception that is built into the back window.

okay, well the guys said the tint film was called smoke plus, do you recommend that?
im trying to go with a really dark look

I did 5% all around and 35% on entire winsheild... It looks pretty sick

go as dark as you want, some have issues with driving at night if you go too dark but if I had to do it over I would have went 15-20 at the very least. Might have them redone next year. have 35% right now. 35 is the law here but I see many with darker with no issues from law enforcement.

I went with 35% [legal limit here] and partially regret it because it does almost nothing, but I have zero reason to get pulled over. If I could, I'd get them redone as 20% and just take the risk. If you can get away with darker, go for it.
I also have "metallic" tint and it does not interfere with my Onstar, XM, FM or phone reception. |

20% llumar tint and try to go with non mettalic film as it can interfere with your radio signal

Wait so I'm getting mixed answers... Does the metallic tint interfere with radio/gps/ other stuff? And I have a life time warranty that comes with the smoke so if anything goes wrong I can replace it. The guy said he had charcoal too, is that any good?
