Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
This is probably my first major post here and i am looking for all of your guys help. I have about 600 dollars to spend and currently have a CAI and Borla Pro-XS mufflers. What should my next mod be? I want a tune but many tell me it isn't worth it at this point. I should probably mention I have an automatic. I have been looking into getting pacesetter headers or even the lt wheels as i have an ls v6. What should i get next? Your help is much appreciated.

Header and tune, especially if you have auto. you got hypertech, trifecta, or you can wait for hp tuners, but i would def start with headers.

Just fyi, the LT wheels are not 20" unless they are the RS optioned wheels. In which case are the same as the SS wheels. I highly doubt you'll be able to get the 20" wheels and tires for $600. lol Also, just because you get the bigger wheels and better rated tires, doesn't automatically mean you can go past 118mph. You'll have to get a tune to take out the factory limiter.
Not sure how far you want to go, but a few other options would be suspension parts. Like trailing arms, bushings, sways, etc. The vmax throttle body is another option. A lot of people also like short shifters. You can get a lot of little things that add up for $600, or get one mod for $600. It really depends on if you want looks or performance.

At this point, I want performance. I was thinking of getting the tune now because i can just ask vince to remove speed limiter when i get better wheels and tires and adjust other things as i get more mods. Is that a good idea?

Yeah, that's one way of going about it. It's really up to you. You will get the 13hp increase and better shifting because of your auto. I think you'll be happy with trifecta.

I figured on going about this like that because even if i were to get another mod, I would probably have to tune as I am at the point where a tune is required for most of my next mods.

What is the 118mph limiter you speak of? I hit 133mph the other day with no tune.

Go with a set of headers. I'd recomend long tubes as you will gain the most by far with long tubes. High flow cats are another nice option. Check out our site we have tons of options with some very decent pricing. We have a huge exhaust update that should be up by the weekend as well! More headers and exhaust options!

If you have the 19" wheels or RS wheels the limiter is 155 or whatever (not 118). The LS is limited to 118 because it has "T" speed rated tires stock, which are rated for 118mph. I'm not sure what the base 1LT tires are rated at.
