Hello.

I am looking for folks who have painted stripes. Are the edges laser straight or do they have small imperfections in them?

I've not had painted stripes before, nor have I looked really closely at any at car shows, so I have no frame of reference. When my wife picked up my Camaro from the James Corlew Chevrolet (Clarksville, TN) body shop, she noticed small imperfections that I would guess are from the paint lifting off with the masking tape.

I was in a course at Ft Rucker and just returned home last night. I looked at the car and agree with my wife; it is odd.

I am pretty sure my car did not go through QC either; it was dirty inside and out (from the tear down and restore for repair from an accident), the stripes do not have clean edges, there is some overspray inside the trunk lid where they did the blackout stripe, and they scuffed the spoiler. Those are the things I noticed on an initial inspection. I am going to check closer in the daylight.

I will be taking it back in this week to speak with the QC representative.

Any thoughts?

The big question is, "do I give them a chance to make it right, or do I get my $ back and go somewhere else?"

Anyone know of a reputable auto painter in the Clarksville or Nashville area that I can use, if I elect not to go back to the dealer?

Mine are laser straight.

I dont have painted strips on my 2010 But I have them on our 95 & they are straight but they also are custom strips lol.
Took a picture of the 2002 anniv car & told them we wanted those on that hood. lol they did it from the poster. they did a great job

Mine were painted on at my dealer, and they are perfectly straight.
