Where to get new Camaro factory bumper
So I am thinking about getting a new Rally Yellow bumper preferably one without the slit in the middle that the SS's have. Once I checked and realized that it was not functional I am thinking about changing the front Bumpers and removing some badging before I start my tuning process. Anyone know where I can get a base bumper?
Also if anyone knows a professional paint shop that does a GOOD job in the Southeast I would be GREATLY appreciative. I want to remove my vinyl stripes and get painted black stripes. |

I'd check the forum and see if a RY V6 guy nearby wants to do a swap.

as far as the front facia goes.....either go to GM Parts Direct, or you local Chevy dealer..... just get the V6 facia and your set, unless you can find someone here or on eBay selling one.
As far as the paint shop, I can't help there.

Guaranteed a V6 guy would trade you front facia and take your badges

I would think for the price of a new bumper and then a paint job on it you could find a local custom shop to just fill in the mailslot for you. I have seen this done somewhere on here but not entirely sure.

That's what I was thinking. Just have them cover the 'mail slot'. It would be much cheaper. Besides the V8 bumper is much better looking than the V6 (imho).BL.

I have quite a few mods in mind both mechanically and cosmetically and the mail slot would be overkill once I get my new hood. I am getting a hood similar to the ZL1 but kind of a hybrid between the ZL1 and the hood in Transformers 3.

I agree the SS fascia is much better looking. More aggressive. If I were looking into changing out I would definitely get the SS and have the mailslot filled in. That way it wouldn't look so much like the SS and I would keep all of my RS badging.

I thought someone was making a "snap in" cover for the SS mail slot.

SLP has a mail slot fill.. pretty sure that painted and filled in the car would be a cheaper solution.

The snap in looks cheap. Some like the V6 front end better. All in what the end user wants.
If I were you I'd go into the V6 cosmetics thread and post that you'd like to trade. Let them know the color your needing to keep from painting.
