Rice? Let's define......... No bs.

It's been done before in several threads but I want to get serious takes on what is considered 'Ricer' in cars.

Not just the obvious NISSMO sticker and Folgers can single muffler, but is a 700+ rwhp Supra still considered 'Rice'?

So when do the imports get the 'Ricer' tag removed?

300 hp?
400 hp?
500 hp?

Or can it ever be?

No big deal, me and Bonnie owned a Lexus IS350 that I considered 'Ricer' by a loose definition.

I wonder if there can be a clasification test that a car can pass to get the tag lifted.

"437hp/389tq but has a high wing spoiler and NOPI sticker"

Hmmmmmm, sticker negates the power..... judgement??? RICE

So what are the requirements for non-rice/rice?

It's so subjective, I don't think you will ever get an answer.

If it has a fart can and a picknick table for a wing ,it's a ricer.

So then can a Chevy, Ford or Chrysler be 'Rice' by the same cosmetic measure?

If it's an Asian Auto it's rice. Even the GTR.

If it's got a V8 and is rear wheel drive it's a yank tank!

My work is done here...

Rice simply refers to the country of mfg
Ricer is a styling thing it has nothing to do with power
You can have a 1200 hp Supra, Evo what ever and its still rice.. is it dressed out like a ricer ? Dont know but rice is rice no matter how much power it makes..
It could get the double term riced out rice if its got all the exterior hoopla

Pictures are worth 1000 words

Rice:

Even a muscle car can be rice:

Not Rice:

It has ABSOLUTELY Nothing to do with country of origin IMO

So Riced out Camaro and Riced out Maxima is a dometic and a ricer that are both riced out?

Ok, so 'rice' can be an adjective AND a noun.

We are getting somewhere I think.

So then where did the term 'Ricer' or 'Rice' come from, when talking about cars?
