GMPP exhaust upgrade over a Borla ATAK

I've been interested in getting the Borla Atak exhaust. I want a loud sound outside but still be able to have a conversation inside. I recently had someone offer me a GMPP Borla exhaust never used at a price much cheaper than the ATAK. Not sure if this is a good set-up. Is it as loud? Is it worth it? I'd like to have the x-pipes installed as well but they'll have to wait due to a lack of funds. Any ideas or is there another exhaust you may recommend that has the head turning loudness with little interior noise? Although I know some interior noise is inevitable. Thanks.

The Gmpp exhaust is only a little louder than stock. It is made by Borla for GM. It is the equivalent of the Borla Touring.

There is an "Off Road" GMPP version that is the equivalent of the Borla S.... little louder than the Touring.... are the mufflers round or rectangular? Round is the louder "off road" version (Borla S). Just a another thing to consider, if you plan on getting headers, starting quieter is not a bad idea, headers increase the sound level quite a bit. I love my GMPP "Touring" version with my headers.... quiet enough at idle to get down my street at 5:30am without pissing off the neighbors, but sounds great with plenty of volume when getting into the throttle. The Chevy Bowties on the tips are pretty cool too, IMO.

I'm not sure if these are the off-roads or not. I hope so. I haven't seen them yet I'm waiting for the guy to contact me so I can get all the info to see if I want them or not. If not I was just going to dish out the cash on a Borla ATAK system but since yesterday I've been thinking about just going for Flowmaster AT. They sound real good, a classic muscle car rumble at a lot cheaper price.

Hey if anyone is interested in a cheap GMPP exhaust I saw a guy on craigslist selling some that were used for very cheap. I could pick them up and ship them to you.

Be prepared to have your AFM become very noticable with any modification to the stock exhaust...... do some searches here and read up...

I have the Borla Atak Catback and it's loud as heck outside (when you accelerate) and pretty quiet inside.

Much better than the flowmaster 40 series we have on our challenger... I think that one is louder in the cabin than outside.

The SwiftChancelor – The Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back is a great kit for sound, performance, and price. Plus it’s a 409S Stainless Steel system so it comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

2011 2SS/RS – The design of the Challenger kit places the mufflers under the rear seat area. Some Challenger customers have had luck reducing the interior sound level by installing additional insulation mat under the rear seat area.

I have heard some Flows on here that sound pretty mean. I'm interested since they are a much cheaper price with a classic sound. I do want loud just worried I'll get one too loud that I can't talk without yelling.
