Upgrading Exhaust System on 45th SS/RS 2012 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am planning on upgrading the exhaust system on my 2012 45th SS and want to know what would be a good replacement? Something with a bit more powerful sound than the stock version. Thanks for any ideas and recommendations.

My recommendation is the SLP Loudmouth. Its loud and sounds outstanding. Also very easy to install and speedinc had a great deal on the price with free shipping just in case you decide on one.

Edit: There internet price lists for around 400$ however I called Speedinc and they sold it to me for around 370$ with free shipping, not sure if they were running some sort of special at the time but it wouldn't hurt calling it in anyway.

Don't waste the extra money, or go for a name.

Best exhaust is the Flowmaster Outlaw. It is their most aggressive exhaust, and is super easy to install. Axle back is about 450.

I like my Borla S axle back.....deep tone.... can get aggressive when you get your foot into it.... but not obnoxious.

I know this is all LS1 engines running the exhausts but at least it might give you some sort of an idea of the different sounds each exhaust can produce. They have a very extensive list of different brands and with or without mods.
My LS3 sounds a little different than my LS1 which both run the Loudmouth but really they still sound pretty close to me. Hope this helps a bit.

Got ARH full system (LTs to tips) on mine and love it…. Not to loud at idle but nasty (for stock internals) when taking up the RPMs … Little pricey but worth every penny
