so i had about 2-5 k on my v6 with out a catch can, some time later, i installed a catch can,,but i never looked into the Cold air tube going into throttle body. This oil change i took out approx 1/2-3/4 inch of old oil, Still not taking the cold air tube apart. This evening i installed a ported TB, and then i noticed it...some OLD oil in curved part of the tube that was apparently dried up from BEFORE i put in catch can. How do i deduce this?, is that there was NO new wet oil in Tube nor inside TB..so in my un-scientific research,i think the catch can is doing its job.......

i will keep and eye on this and report back sometime..

I am sorry I was a little confused as to where the oil was exactly. If it is in the clean side (intake tube) the breather should help eliminate that.

I'm thinking there are more than a couple people who have set these up wrong. I have heard of a few replacing the driver side line instead of eliminating that line, and installing it correctly on the passenger side line.

This is on pass side, and was installed by tracy sc2150..so i have to think its correct.

it was where the 90 degree elbow from my injen cai just before it goes into TB..but like i said,,this was before i put in catch can, now it appears that this is rectified.
