Iphone 4s not working with Bluetooth

Good Morning,
Has anyone had issues with the new ATT Iphone 4s not connecting to the bluetooth? I have a 2010 2 SS, but the phone is not finding the bluetooth when pairing.

I was using the bluetooth last week on my iphone 4 with no issues.
please let me know your thoughts

thanks

My iPhone4s (Verizon) pairs perfectly with mine. I have a 2011, though. It's the main reason I switched from Droid to iPhone. Both phone and music work fine for me.

I have iPhone 4 and a 2010 camaro. I never could bluetooth it to play music to save my ass. It pairs with it but cant do much except use the phone. I plug it via USB and let it rock.

My iPhone 4 works fine either with USB or via BT. I prefer the USB because it allows me the additional controls from the head unit. Also (and maybe I'm imagining it) I think it sounds better via USB. As for the OP, sorry for the off-topic response.

Thanks everyone. When I had the iphone 4 it worked perfectly. But using the new iphone 4s, it just doesn't seem to connect.
I'm going to take it in this week and see if the dealership has any info

The main reason you switched from droid to iphone is because it pairs perfectly with iphone? I have a droid and I never had 1 problem pairing it with my 2010.

Only time I've had trouble with my iphone 4 in the Camaro is right after updating to v5.0... I had to do a factory reset to make it work AT ALL. All seems well now though, but if you bought into the 4 "S" thing, then you're probably already at factory settings.

On a side note, my brother in law has a Droid, and it refuses to sync with the Camaro at all.

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 with no issues - Bluetooth pairing didn't need to be touched.

I assume Bigjoey you tried to pair the iPhone 4S - did you delete the iPhone 4 pairing? If not perhaps the Camaro Bluetooth is confused especially if the iPhone 4S has the same name as the iPhone 4 ?

Good luck asking the Dealer unless they have a savy Service Manager or Tech who's into the technology - otherwise if there isn't a Service Bulletin they'll throw their hands up...

Check the Audio, Video, Bluetooth, Navigation, Radar, Electronics Forum for threads as well - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=29

Good luck.

Yup. I'd delete the phone from the car, shut the car off and the phone off and re-do.

But admitedly, I never had a problem. Had an iPhone since launch day of the first one. Switched last week to an android based phone. No problems with my new Galaxy S II either.

Hmmm... I've never had a problem with either.

You sure you selected GM Music Connect?

I just used the bluetooth. I could still change the song with the steering wheel.

Yep. My Droid worked perfectly through Bluetooth with the Camaro until they pushed out Gingerbread. Then it wouldn't connect anymore. Took some effort, but finally got someone at HTC to admit it was a bug in their version of Gingerbread. Bluetooth is a very important feature for me, so yeah that was the main reason. A few other apps broke after Gingerbread as well. That's what you get when you have a software vendor that lives on multiple hardware platforms. My cell is too important to risk on buggy software - I need a more stable platform.

I LOVE the iPhone. Always have. It's a great phone.

I'm new to the andriod stuff. Apperently I bought the best phone out for it. But it's smooth as silk and I like it better than the iPhone which had gotten boring to me.

BUT iPhone is a great phone. However don't think for a minute that it's problem free. Problem with Apple is that when there's a problem you better pray that it's a mass problem affecting everyone or it will be MONTHS before it gets resolved. Every phone has it's buggaboos but I switched partialy due to them.

You'll enjoy the phone though.

I definitely understand what you're saying. I just think overall Apple is much more stable than Droid. My cell phone is my only phone - I don't have a landline, so I can't have basic functionality just stop working when they upgrade the software version. I do understand that Apple has its issues as well, but like you said when there's a problem that affects the masses, they react. There are so many vendors for Droid, Google can just sit back and rake in the money and let the vendors sort it out. To be fair, I LOVED Droid until Gingerbread. I would have never even considered switching until that happened.

I do love the phone. Did you buy the new phone that just came out with Ice Cream Sandwich? Getting good reviews...

No. I didn't get anything to eat with it. Just a screen cover.

I was afraid that I'd regret switching. I can't believe the customization these things have. And how responsive they are. I'm loving it. I can't put it down.

Of course, the problems that come with the upgrades I obviously haven't dealt with yet. Mine is running gingerbread. The widgets and stuff are awesome. I didn't know it was like this. I got a Sooners page with news, scores and different stuff, a Buffalo Bills page, home page and all kinds of stuff.......

I'm like a kid in a candy store.

It was awesome to be able to just plug my phone in my buddies cmoputer and just copy and paste a few songs into my phone. And delete files from the phone too.

It may wear off but I can't put this thing down.

But you are right. If it's your only phone you won't have a problem with it not working. I've bought 16-20 iPhones. Me, my wife, our son and daughter have all gotten a new one every year since they came out. (My daughter tried a blackberry one year.... ) My son likes the Galaxy S II I have but says he still prefers his iPhone.

The widgets and the SD card are definitely huge pluses for the Droid. And the easy interface with all Google products is huge - I use Google products primarily. I really wish there was a good iPhone app for Gmail, but that's like hoping for MS Office for Mac - that took a while to produce. Like I said - I lovged the Droid when it was working. Glad you're having fun with it. I'm sure there will be things I miss.

Go Bills!
