I know there are some people that live in Oklahoma in this forum but in my county and on base you can’t have on fog lights. which completely doesn't make sense but they say it blinds the drivers around you. but here is my problem the DRL are my fog lights so am going to get pulled over all the time over something that comes on standard on the car.

Well theoretically, they are DRL's. They just look like they are fog lights because of where they are located. Legally, you will be okay.

Legally, if it's standard equipment, they can't write you a ticket. If a cop tries just take it to court, you should have no problem getting it thrown out.

And if I'm not mistaken the laws about fog lights does not include DRL's. You just can't have them on at night.

the hassle of me getting pulled over will be annoying enough though.

I was stationed at Altus AFB as Security Forces for 6 years. They are not going to pull you over for having them on durring the day. Plus they are not on when your headlights are on.

I love OK. There are some really stupid laws and people, but I'd rather be here than most places. I'm with everyone else who responded to your question. Its not illegal to have them on during the day. Just at night.

Oklahoma city and tulsa are fine. but altus, the biggest building in the town is a hotdog factory and walmart. I have got pulled over before during the day, but there is not much they can do because they are DRL not fog lights and i know that. but until camaro's become more common in town i might have that problem. there will only be 5 in town.

one of the 1st things I did on my 02AV was put Amber's in the DRL.
the Amber's are much more Visible in the day.
the Next Mod was to make them FTDRL Full time always on.
been running the Ride for 6 years now no issued cops or NJ inspection.

I've been a cop for...30+ years... fog lights are to be used in heavy rain or fog ( state of Oklahoma) ... but if they are running lights and are standard equipment from the factory, no matter wqhere they are located you can't get a ticket.... wait.... shouldn't get a ticket... there is a NEW BREAD of cops out there now.... I guess I should say GOOD LUCK... hope you get a old timer!!

If they did give me a ticket i would just go to the DA and get it thrown out the window. but i have got some bullshit ticket lately. i was on the turnpike going from okc to Lawton and a cop came out of the McDonalds parking lot and pull on onto the turnpike and i pulled up behind him and he pulled me over saying that i approached him from behind too quickly so i had to be speeding because he was doing 80. so he guessed a number and gave me a ticket for doing 77 mph in a 75.

You've got to be kidding me. That is totally disputable. Take it to court and you should win.... unless the cop lies but if he didnt write on the ticket that he got ur speed on a radar or laser then you should be good. He can't just guesstimate your speed
