another. Vararam vs Injen CAI
I know there was a recent thread on this, (sorry) but i just wanted to try and get updated info to this day. Any bad reviews for the Vararam?? Do most people still think it's better than the Injen? Anyone get a CEL by chance?
Are there better gains with the Vararam due to the lack of the two sharp bends that the air has to travel through with the Injen? The Injen needs a water shield i guess, does that restrict any airflow? Does the Vararam really reduce gas milage? Is the Vararam better quality now?? What were the issues with it before if there were quality issues? Another question for everyone. Is the Vararam really seeing gains of 20+ HP vs Injens 16 HP or so?? or is that number not measured at the wheels or something??? I know there are quite a few questions here, but your input is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Can't compare to the Injen but I'll answer this question for you...
Does the Vararam really reduce gas milage? No, it does not. Indirectly, you may see your gas mileage drop a bit but I'll pretty much guarantee you that it is because you changed your driving habits with the Vararam installed. If you don't change your driving style, you should see the same or even slightly better gas mileage compared to stock. If you are curious, I tracked my V6 MPG numbers for 40k miles. I started using the various Vararam prototype intakes in my V6 around 26k miles. You can look through my mileage log post and see that my MPGs didn't really change all that much with the Vararam installed. I can tell you that I certainly did change my driving habits with the VR installed but that doesn't come across when you look at the mileage log. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...48&postcount=5

Thanks rolnslo! I appreciate your input. I don't particularly care if it even did drop a little. It's not like we bought these cars over a smart car to save on gas. I was just wondering if there was more to it for some reason.
Another question for everyone. Is the Vararam really seeing gains of 20+ HP vs Injens 16 HP or so?? or is that not measured at the wheels or something???
