More ZL1 Options in 2013?
As Chevy announced the new 1LE concept car for SEMA this year, many are screaming this could be the Z28. They also announced the Carbon ZL1 edition for the show so I'm starting to think that waiting for a 2013 ZL1 means we will see a few more items on the options menu. Many were asking for colored brake calipers as an option for MY '12 since the Corvettes currently have that option available. But since the Dealer guides were released this week that doesn't appear to be an option for the ZL1 yet. But after reviewing the photos of the sick looking VICTORY RED 1LE concept, it shows the car with RED brake calipers. So I'm thinking that colored options will be on the list for 2013 ZL1 models...what do you guys think? I wish GM could do that now but probably with limited production time this year they have don't have time to maximize the efficiency required for such a task as simple as colored calipers

What I think.......save your money and paint the brake calipers yourself. I'm sure GM will include a markup for that option.
That pic looks more like an SS rather than the ZL1. No ZL1 hood, no ZL1 front end....etc, etc. |

I know it's not a ZL1, it's the 1LE concept which if you read the other thread posted here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179027 you will notice that it basically has the same wheels, suspension, and brakes as the ZL1 (hence the speculation for a possible Z28 badge later on) but in the picture the brake caliper is painted red to go with the car, so it got me thinking if more options will be added on for 2013. I don't see why GM wouldn't try to make a few more bucks on simple options like colored calipers if they already do it for the Corvettes

...any options added in 2013, other than colors, would be an easy upgrade to a 2012
... I see no reason to wait...

Personally I love the idea of a Z28 but if they keep adding to the cost of the Camaro you might as well spend a few more $ and get a Vette.
