Question Will the White Classic Hurst Shift Knob fit the "Factory Hurst Shifter" on the SS?

I have the factory option Hurst Shifter on my SS, and want to buy a replacement shift knob. I love the look of the White ball type knob with the hurst logo as well as the black gear lettering.

Does anyone know if the Classic Hurst Shift Knob fits the factory hurst shifter, or is it just the aftermarket hurst shifter?

Here's the knob I'd like to purchase, as it goes great with the color scheme of my car.

It won't fit because the factory Hurst (and non-Hurst) shifter does not have threads to accept aftermarket shift balls.

Man, what a bummer. Thanks guys. Looks like I'm out of luck than for sure. I wanted the White ball shift knob look. My stock shift knob has a tear in the leather and it bugs the hell out of me.

Are there ANY aftermarket shift knobs that would fit onto the factory hurst shifter?

Do a search as there is a DIY where someone added threads to their factory shifter stick.

I bought the shaft here: http://www.mgwltd.com/camaro-5th_generation.shtml
It's in the third picture where it says 'Retro Shift Knob Assembly'.

Also the knob from here:http://www.epcoshiftknobs.com/
