Winterization fail

Got caught off-guard by the storm in Massachusetts.

The Camaro had not been winterized yet. It has a full tank of premium with no Sta-Bil, and the oil hasn't been changed.

Now there's salt on the roads, and no rain in the forecast for the next 10 days to wash it away.:(

Question: does it make sense to put Sta-Bil into a full tank, or should I drive the car to the gas station, put in the Sta-Bil, and top off the tank to mix it in?

Plan B is to put it in the full tank, and then run the car in the garage for a while to get the peservative into the injectors and to watm up the engine for an oil change.

Go with Plan B - When you put in Stabil (use the marine formula) rock the car a bit to mix it with the gasoline, then run it for a while to get it into your fuel rails, injectors and engine, change your oil and you're done.

But you realize that allot of it will still be dispersed throughout the engine if you run it to get it warm. It was warm when you shut it off last and had allot of time to drain all the way to the bottom. Then all that's left is in the pan and filter. And if you really want it drained leave the plug out as long as possible. 2-3 hrs. to get it all.

OP>> how cold where it's being stored are we talking? Fuel additives are good for certain temps and below. Otherwise a waste. Remember top it off (DON"T OVER FILL!) and that minimizes air in the tank which causes condensation and leaving water in the tank. Once you put the cap on the tank is essentially sealed. Good luck.

I think warmer oil also helps get out more of the contamination
