purple ice by royal purple?

Anyone using this and if so is there a noticeable difference in temperature? Or is it just a waste of money?

Purple Ice is the same as Water Wetter by Redline Oil. The less antifreeze used the better they work. Redlineoil.com has technical info.

I haven't used purple ice, but have used water wetter with distilled water added to the coolant in my off road vehicles. I believe it helps, but have no hard data to prove it. Just be careful. Don't use too much or you could dillute the good properties of your coolant; freeze protection, anti-corrosives.

I use it but don't have any fact to say if it works.

Yes it works. Although not scientific my water cooled bike no longer had the fan kick on while sitting in traffic after adding it. The fan operation and relay was verified to be in working order. Before that it went on every day on the commute to work. There's no temp gauge so I never got hard numbers but it had to be running at least 10 degrees cooler consistently for the fan to stop going on.

Works. As posted above the less antifreeze the better it works.

I would not use it. Do some searches and make your own decision.

There isn't going to be any advantage for a street car. We've used it for track cars in the past but those were water with Redline Water Wetter only. Are you having coolant temperature issues? I beat my Camaro on the road course and my biggest problem is oil temps gong up to 300* in 3 laps... Next mod is an oil cooler set up for me.

Kind regards,
