Is my battery dying?

Hi everyone.
First post from me.
I have a 2011 1SS,done about 19k miles now.
Recently I experinced the battery voltage dropping after turn off the engine.Normally when the engine running the voltage guage showing at 13v right? After I turn it off and check the voltage guage it dropping slowly and after 1-2 hours it only has around 10-11 v..

I also experinced elec. system rapidly shut problem.Like if I keep start/off the engine couple of times then drive it on the road. For about 0.5-1 sec the lights flashing and dash lights /display gone off then they back up.It only happend 1-2 times in past week ,but right after I start/off the engine more offen within a short time..
Oh I also have slow cold start problem, and obviously I think it due to the low voltage from the battery?

The battery is still the ACDelco one from new(19k miles of usage). This sounds like the battery is dying?I am asking here because I am not from US and my car is an import to me.No warranty,I need to buy new battery myself. So if anyone could please also recommend a good brand. My local chev dealer do not stock battery for SS.Only for LT.

Thanks for the help.US musle car rocks

Optima batteries are great. They are on the pricey side but I have seen them last for 7 years.

Have you tried checking the terminal connections on the battery? Make sure they are good and tight. It sounds like your battery might be defective.

Seems like you drive enough to keep the battery charged, considering that your 2011 has 19,000 miles.

But still, has your car sat unused for more than 2 weeks at a time? If so, you should connect to a battery tender.

It's cool that there are Camaros in China. Got any photos?

As mentioned previously check the battery terminals. The cold start being slow gives me concern that the battery voltage is low. The way I understand the start system is that turning the key to start begins the sequence of powering up the start cycle, meaning whether you hold the key to start or let go of the key the start will continue until it completes the start cycle or it times out. With it being slow says to me that it is possible for the voltage to be low. I hope that makes sense. I have to post a disclaimer that I am not an expert by any means.

I would love to see pictures of your car and you in China. I have a friend in Dubai with a Camaro or did have. He has since sold it. Good luck with your car.

After your car sits overnight it should be around 12.7 volts. It it is less than 12.3 you probably need to replace it.

With the engine running and battery charging, it should be in the 14.0 to 14.5 volt range. But it will depend on RPM and other factors.

Ya, think I need a new battery and might need to get the alternator checked to.

I think if the battery is fully charged the alt turns off. I only get 14+volts when charging if the bat needs it. If not its the normal 12v. when driving.

Having a soft crank issue on start. I do have a cam so I wonder if the tune is off on start or the battery is getting week.

I have a 2011 v6 that after it sits over night it only has 12.0v when I go to start it in the morning and while driving its charging 15. It also starts up really rough. It only has a 1000 miles so could I possibly have a bad battery.
