U-Haul Autotransport - who's done it

They are telling me over the phone that is not recommended per computer. I think it will fit, but I will have to climb out the window (or the trunk if I want to have my windows up for the 3 hour drive.

If anyone knows it won't fit, please advise. I don't want to drive out there tomorrow for no reason.

You talking about a car HAULER? If so the fenders fold down on the trailer, with my Saleen I let the air out of the trailer tires, folded down the fender and was able to get out the door (barely) with the windows up...Be a tight fit with a Camaro but if your small enough it might work or look for a falte bed trailer

I use the UHAUL to tow my race car. Length wise it will definitely fit the Camaro, and the fender does fold down to let you out. In reality I would say its probably tight and you may not be able to get out the door

Letting the air out will give you the extra room. Just make sure you have a pump to reinflate it

Well if she fits I can just crawl out the trunk. Or fold down the sides.

So I guess I will go to uhaul tomorrow to see if she fits. Thanks for the info.

Should have no issues, as stated the U-Haul auto transporters have a fold down fender, my C4 Vette had sufficent door clearance with the fender down.

I just used a full auto transport a week ago from va to ny no problems. I called the 800 uhaul number
They told me it had to be their silver not orange colored hauler but was no problems. If they tell you it can't be done pm me and I will give you my reservation number so they can see in their system it can be done. Ps the sides folded down to open the door

You may private message me if you need proffessional help correctly answering any related UHaul question including equipment use, availabilty, pricing or making you a remote guaranted reservation. From any locale to another in the U.S. Casper can verify it!

P.S .........there's no need to deflate the tires, the ( aka UHaul Equipment "AT" [W] meaning wide series) auto transporters drivers side fender folds down in a couple of seconds for exiting and as you can see ( the pic's) that the car fits safely and perfectly. There are a few helpful hints and easy to follow steps you'll need to know regarding loading and unloading the car so that you'll not worry about damaging the undertrim and all will be perfectly well. These pic's were taken recently in the SunShine State, South of Daytona aka Orange Park area..................

I did mine and it worked fine. You will need at least 2 2x10's or 8's cut about 1 ft off each one to use as ramp extentions and for the wheel space in the front, to take up the space in the front if you have the ground effects but all will work fine....

Ah yes - just what I wanted to see. My car is lowered on coilovers that I can raise or get the 2 x 10 or 8s.
