Vinyl wrap for cars

My goal to to make my car 2 tone, I was given a price of about 4000 to paint the top half. I was thinking that a wrap might be cheaper. Is it possible to wrap only the top half of the car? does the wrap have to go to the edge of a body panel or can it end in the middle of a panel?
Im guessing the hood, trunk, roof and mirrors are easy, but they would have to split the fender, door and quaterpanel along that line that runs the length of the car.
Im IBM, thinking about silver top half, or bronze and powdercoat the rims to bronze.

Im thinking wrap might be good because it can be removed at a later time.

Vinyl Wraps arnt that cheap, but way cheaper than real paint. While you are at it are you sure you dont want anything more custom? Some ghost flame/skull stripes would look good.

Night Shades does that. Give them a PM. They have a cool way to blend the transaction of paint to vinyl.

Check out this thread while you're considering a wrap. I was surprised by it anyway.
