18X12 wheels?

So I've got the opportunity to buy a set of 18X12 vette rear wheels ($100 for both) but don't know it they'll fit. The lug patterns are the same but I've never seen 12 in wide wheels on a 5th gen. I want to run 315s on them and they would only be used to drive to and from the drag strip and to race. Will they work or are they too wide? Keep in mind I am at stock ride hight.

What is his current offset and what is the offset on the Vette wheels he is looking at ? vette wheels have all different offsets..
That will make a difference.. if its close enough a person can get away with it

18X12 Corvette wheels are almost always 56mm offset or more, unless they are custom made wheels. They won't fit. You could make them fit with a 1.25" adapter, but they would stick out 1" past the fender.

I'm running 18x11 rears with a 48mm offset and 315 drag radials. They are dead even with the rear fender and have the minimum clearance I would feel comfortable running on the inner fender well.

You have an 18x12 53mm offset vette wheel? What all did you modify on your inner fenders to make them fit? I only have about .250" clearance and your set up should fit .750" farther in than mine.

Sorry...LOL should have said its not a gen 5.... just saying you need to know the offsets before making a decision and there are some aftermarket vette wheels with closer to center offsets

BFH mod to inner fender though and a repaint after..LOL
