Question ZL1 Order Tracker Status Change

I originally placed my ZL1 order early on October 29. I received my 6 digit order number and workbench printouts. Soon this was available in the Chevy Order Tracker as "ORDER PLACED". It then moved to status "VEHICLE QUEUED FOR PRODUCTION".

Yesterday (November 4th) my order moved backward in status from "VEHICLE QUEUED FOR PRODUCTION" to only "ORDER PLACED". My dealer says "the mistake was by Chevy, it was not supposed to be placed into the production queue because they can't build the car yet".

If what they say is true, did everyone else's order move back to "ORDER PLACED"? I am thinking this could be due to changing the wheels and a couple minor options that were not available yet at time of Quick Order.

PS: I am now told Ashen Gray is constrained, so my Yellow car with only RED stitching cannot be changed to Gray OR Crystal Red (still not offered).

Any insights would be appreciated!

The same thing happened to me and a lot of others. It went to 3000 and back down to 2000. I didn't change anything on my order. Your dealer was right, it was a mistake.

The ashen grey and crystal red will hopefully be availble before the end of
the year. As long as the status number stays below ( I believe) status 3100 you
can change your options.

Even non-ZL1 orders bounce around like that (without official mistakes). No worries and congrats to all!

Your back at 3000? I'm jealous.

My order says: "(1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order"
...called my guy today, he said to stop reading this site<Connects>, that my order is in the system, they have the allocation, and this information is incorrect...sheeeesh I gotta keep the faith!

If your dealer has an allocation they should get a car built. Consensus will tell them when the car will be built. For example, your dealer gets allocation to build one car which happened in October, the the car might not be pulled to be built until March. Consensus will tell them when the car will be accepted by GM to be built.

My order had same allocation issue and I pushed and they went up the ladder and found out their dealership did not have it. They found me another dealer and order was put in and the allocation statement is not on my tracking. Just want you to know as soon as possible.
