295's all around or 305/315 in the rear for Road Course/ street?
I'm having trouble deciding whether I want 295's on all four corners or if I should just put 295's up front and put wider 305's or maybe even 315's on the rear.
The car is mostly street driving with me going to the road course once a month or so. Not even sure what tires I want. I'm all over the place with either Toyo R888 to Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110. I don't want to spend much more than $300 a tire. I don't have too much money to throw around right now so I'm trying to compromise for a decent street/course tire. Anyhow, can some of you shed some light on what would be better on a road course with the Camaro; 295's wrapped, or 295's front / 305/315's rear? Thank you!! |

Depends....first off, what size wheels are you running front/rear?

Here is a great thread discussing exactly what you are thinking about.

19" forgestar's from Nineball. 10" wide up front for the 295's. Then the appropriate width for the rear. 11" I believe. Quote:

Wish I could help ya, but I don't know squat about availability of 19" tires. If it was 20's or 18's then that's a different story. If you're getting your wheels from Tony (Nineball), then I would just ask for and trust his recommendations.

Make sure 295 will even fit in the front first.
