Modules needed for aftermarket head unit?

Are any modules needed for the Camaro when you put an aftermarket double din in? I havent seen any threads about it. Im talking about like one that keeps the door chimes and warning chimes or what about one that keeps onstar functional?

In my Trailblazer SS I lost the chimes when I installed the aftermarket headunit however I needed the PAC OS-2 to keep onstar.

Thats weird you shouldnt have lost the chimes in your trailblazer beause it comes with the OS-2. If you get the full Metra install kit it will come with everything required.

Yes, the Scosche/Alpine kit (same kits, but the Scosche is a "universal" kit whereas the Alpine is cosmetically matched to their double DIN radios) also comes with the necessary electronics for most users; steering wheel control retention is included bgut OnStar interface is optional at least on the Alpine as they think a lot of C5 owners won't care about that.

Saw this today, but doesnt seem to mention all of the tools that run through the radio working on it. Seems more like a touchscreen for a/c-heating controls only.

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....
