Detailing time.

I dropped my car off at a local detail shop early yesterday and they told me that it should be done by sat. morning. Im having them do a full detail on it but a little over 3 days seems long. I used to detail for many car lots down in Oklahoma and we could knock out about 4 or 5 full details (wash, wax, vacuum and scrub carpet, floor mats, and engine bay) in a day. Yes I know im not a professional detailer but the cars were far from dirty when we got done. This is the first time im getting it done by someone other than myself. My question is does it really take over 3 days?

Cool. I guess I just needed some reassurance. It's barely been gone more than a day and I already miss it like crazy.

to be honest,if someone told me they could do a complete detail job on my car in a day,i would take it some where else.it takes a lot of time to do it right.

Also depends a lot on what they're doing.

You listed wash, wax, and general cleaning in the process you used to do... if there is paint correction involved it can take days.

There was some PDR involved but he called me 3 hours after I dropped it off and told me that they are all out.

2 days just on paint on my old 68. Interior was ok, but still needs some Adams TLC. Just keep running out of time

So what all did they do and how much did it run? I have some swirls that I want to get out but I'm not sure that I want to buy a whole kit just to correct some of these small swirls that I don't even know if I will fix right.

Thanks.

They did a full detail and popped out a good 4 door dings. Everything from shampooing/vacuuming the carpet to a 3 step wax job. it ran a little over 600. I dont remember the exact number, ill look at my recipet when i get home. I had ALOT of swirl marks when I brought it in and now I look for them and I can't find any.

That is a great price for a full detail with paint correction and dent removal.

I charge $400 for the full Detail alone. $50 hr for paint correction.

Pics please.
