Pfadt drop springs, now I have noise?

I did a search and only found four threads on this issue. I am gonne recheck my endlinks per the other threads. But I tightened everything TIGHT! I go overboard even at times.
I installed the springs myself and had the bushings timed and the car aligned today.
The tech did not see anything wrong with the install. My question is, has anyone else had a clunking noise after your drop spring install? What did you do to fix it?
Thanks for any and all help!

I had a problem with noise with my pfadt spring on one corner. I took it apart, and the bump stop was stuck on the top of the shaft.

Would that matter? Doesn't it end up there anyway?

Did you cut the bump stops? Also Make sure the coils are seated in the perch?

I did cut the Bump stops. And the springs are in the perch.

I just finished rechecking the Sway bar end links, and they are tight. I check all the bolts. I tried raising the suspension with a floor jack and it is dead quiet.

Any other ideas?

Same issue

Had the same problem. Jacked up the car and twisted the spring a little, problem fixed. It was like 1/4 of an inch from being seated.

It was stuck on the thin part of the shaft.

Thanks for your input, if i rotate them they will be out of the recessed area on the rubber. This is so frustrating.

Also, I was told to leave the plastic covers on the coil, is this correct?

Had the same problem with my Eibach's... Took it back to the shop and they re- greased and re-tightened everything (I had both lowering springs and sway bars installed). Everything is good now!

My understanding is that the Eibach sway bars have grease zerks.

your stock bushings will pre-load the swaybar and make it difficult to fully seat the endlink if the spindle or wheel is hanging unsupported.

measure the distance from the center of the wheel to fender lip while its on the ground. Put it up on jackstands and then raise the wheel with your jack (or a small bottle jack) back to this position.

now check your endlink connection. it should be in a more static or "relaxed" attitude and you may find it can be tightened a bit more to 33lb/ft of torque.

that's my WAG for the night anyway!
