Would like to hear your exhaust

Hey guys...I'm really considering buying the Borla ATAK axle back but before I do, I'd like to hear it in person. Does anyone in this area have this installed? I'd preferably like to hear it without any other mods...If so, I'd be glad to buy you something small to eat to return the favor.

Thanks in advance

Also, I'm located in Silver Spring near Rockville/Olney so anywhere around here would be lovely!

Have you considered a muffler delete?

I'm gonna put in one more vote for the muffler delete.

Made one mistake today.... The wife was having a horrible morning and I let her take the Camaro (instead of my truck) because I have to take her Tahoe in to get it fixed. She always complains I don't let her drive the car.
Well, she was giving it all she had on the way to work sounded great!!!

So how much did a muffler delete cost you guys? The only thing keeping me from getting a muffler delete is the chance of it having a lot of drone. I'm searching through the forums and can't find a definitive answer.

For those with a muffler delete, how loud is it when you're not getting on it?
I want to be able to drive around and have a conversation without having to yell.

It that is what you want, muffler delete is perfect. It does have a little drone but not bad at all. I am in Germantown if you want to here it or go for a ride let me know. We are also at Burtonsville a lot. It costs at most 200 if not lower.

The AFM is the problem... not so much the drone. I guess I can only speak for the automatic group in this discussion. Besides who doesn't normally have the radio on while they are driving around . Can't hear it at all then.
Hey, for $100-$150 (around here anyway) you can't beat it.
Even talked with someone who said that it would most likely pass inspection with the resonator still installed, but thats not confirmed.
Its not loud...some say its almost perfect. You won't have a problem having a conversation.

The exhaust setup for the L99 is different than the LS3. We have extra huge resonators in the front area and I am not sure how it would sound with a muffler delete with those things still on. This is why I havent done it yet.

So with a muffler delete, I might not pass inspection?

My "Muffler Delete" for my 2011 L99 SS.

Magnaflow 5'in Comp Series Axleback with a Magnaflow Tru-X Pipe.

Removed stock center resonator and stock rear mufflers.

Should have no problem with emissions in MD. If you do, it is always good to know someone.
