Question on Americana wax from Adams

I will be doing a full detail for the first time soon and am thinking of buying some Americana wax. Would I do the wax before or after the Machine Super Sealant? And is there any benifit in even doing the wax or would I be fine with just stopping at the MSS? Im looking to go for a wet as possible look so if you can provide some input/insight, Id appreciate it. Thanks!

BigWayne......it would be the LAST thing to do....you put it on TOP of the MSS. Seeing as what you are wanting to achieve is the "I'm looking to go for a wet as possible look " this is the way to go....after you have done the full gambit (S&H,FMP, and MSS) the Americanna will give the finish a much DEEPER wet look.

Correct, but don't forget that you need to wait 24 hours after applying MSS before you add anything else. It needs to cure

The order of application is always
  1. SEALANT
  2. GLAZE
  3. WAX

Like the others mentioned, make sure you wait at least 12 hours before layering over the top of MSS as it continues to gas out/cure for a period of 12-24 hours. The colder/more humid it is the longer you should wait.

It will give the paint a different look as well as an added layer of protection. Its not required. MSS has a very bright, reflective shine to it and looks outstanding on its own, but the addition of Americana gives it that 'little something extra' plus serves as an additional layer of protection.

Do the wax if thats what you're going for. Thats one of the most popular combos among our customers and I'm sure you'll love the look.
