... PRESS RELEASE ... The new design MTI Racing Sport shifter! ...

Sport Shifter

MTI Racing Six Shooter Shifter - Sport Version
Part Number #MTI-206002

The “Original” MTI Racing Six Shooter Shifter is a masterpiece. We still get customer feedback saying that it has the best feel and quality construction. It is truly a testament to precise engineering and usage of premium components made in the USA.

We recently added an optional shifter that has exceptional quality and composition that is packaged for “value”. Thus, we made some design changes to make manufacturing more affordable, and still have superb feel and features that are similar to the “Original Six Shooter”.

Introducing… the MTI Racing “Sport” Shifter.

There are two major design revisions that distinguish the MTI Sport Shifter from the MTI Six Shooter Shifter.
1) The Sport shifter uses a one-piece shaft instead of the Original two-piece shaft.
2) The Sport shifter uses a Teflon-impregnated composite bushing instead of the Original roller bearing.

These revisions helped lower manufacturing costs, thus lowering the price point of the Sport Shifter.

Comparison

- Both Shifters have threaded tops to accept the stock knob, AND the aftermarket knob (9/16 -18).

- Both Shifters include the White Delrin Housing Bushings to enhance shift housing stability.

- Both Shifters are currently available, and we will continue with production of both models to suit many discerning buyers.

Included: Here are the Delrin bushings that strengthen the housing. Also showing the stainless steel pivot pin.

This shows the similarities between the "MTI Sport Shifter" vs. the "MTI Six Shooter Shifter".
You have the choice of the 2 best shifters in 2 price segments.

Info on the MTI Racing Shifter:
The MTI Racing Six Shooter Sport Shifter is engineered with the best materials and overall feel. Now you can get rid of that stock numb, rubbery factory shifter and replace it with the Six Shooter Shifter and confidently go through the gears with precision. It is the #1 improvement you can add to the Camaro.

The Shifter is machined from one piece of high-quality Stainless Steel, making it very strong and resistant to corrosion. The lever throw is reduced by approximately 25%, making shifts fast and crisp. To reduce friction, we used a Teflon-impregnated composite bushing at the pivot pin which can take high-impact abuse and stay smooth for years to come.

The top of the shifter is threaded to accept both the stock knob AND aftermarket knob (9/16 -18). This means that you can keep the factory knob, or use a variety of custom knobs available. A new stainless steel pivot pin, clasp, and washer is also included.

The kit also replaces the stock rubber bushings in the factory shifter housing with durable Delrin composite bushings, increasing the overall strength and life of the entire shifter assembly. The Six Shooter Shifter requires little to no extra effort when shifting, and instills confidence with its solid structural feel.

Mission accomplished!

All materials and manufacturing is Made in the USA.

You can purchase both MTI Racing Shifters from your favorite Camaro parts supplier, or direct from MTI Racing.
