I gave up on em in the early 90s when the rug got pulled out on profitability of them as they print more of them things then they do money.
got lots of "#1s" worth less then I was told they were "worth". |

stopped reading years ago. it's sickening some of the storylines that younger writers put in classic title's.
i'd like to sell some of my old ones

Heck, I never -read- comics except when I was a kid. I haven't collected in about 6 years, but still have 6 full long boxes of boarded & bagged issues issues. About 3 boxes are older X-Men, Wolverine and others...including some Spider Man I think. I also collected a lot of newer stuff, including Spawn (I have a full collection of the first 30-40 issues, I think), Lady Death (several signed special editions), Evil Ernie and a bunch of other Image comics.
I'm sure they are worth a little money, but I am holding on to them to give to my brothers kids. Maybe by 18-20, they might appreciate the collection, rather than opening and reading them all.

Funny you should ask. I stopped on the way to work and picked up The Walking Dead (Compendium One) for a little lunchtime escape.

Its pretty frickin' good. I got through about 24 issues (half of the compendium) already.
If you are watching the series on TV have no fear of spoilers. The story lines start the same but then go their separate ways. People who die on TV don't die in the comic and vice-versa. There are also characters on the TV show who never showed up in the comic (at least not yet). Pretty cool.

Ha funny to see this post. I was a huge comic nerd growing up, there are several hundred bagged with backing boards somewhere at my moms house.
I've been itching to read them again for the past year or 2. Grabbed one here and there and the occasional free marvel.com one online. I don't know what to read anymore. Whats cool? I read the Watchmen, that was cool. I was huge into Ghost Rider (bummer on the first movie! Hopefully the sequel won't suck), Silver Surfer, X-Men (mainly Wolverine), Spiderman and Venom. Mainly a Marvel guy. Just read the #1 issue of the Requiem series of Silver Surfer. Apparently hes dying or something. Kinda wanna see how that pans out.
