New Tires Time
Well - I have squeaked out as many miles I can get on the Pzeros. I'm up to 24,000 and from what I heard, that's pretty much the norm for these lovely summer tires that didn't get that many miles on dry pavement. Oh well. I'm ordering new tires through Tirerack.com; probably going with the General G-Max's. Tirerack has recommendations as to where the tires can be installed. Is there a particular place someone has gone to in or around the Tacoma area where they have had good luck with installation, balance, etc.? How is T & T tire or any of the Firestone Auto?

Firestone is great - I know the guys at the South Hill, Puyallup location (one of them lurks here now and then.... Hi Pat!), and they'll treat you right if you go there! Ask for Kip, tell him Jeanette sent you.

Tirerack is out of stock on the "pairs" of both the Generals and Continentals. I must have called up 9 different tire "places" in and around Washington to see if they have them or can get them - and they all said the same thing - they can get the fronts, but not the rears. Or the rears are in stock but not the fronts. Incredibly frustrating. Recommendations??

I bought a whole set of low mileage tires with wheels and pressure sensors for only $700. You'd pay almost that much for two tires alone.
