ZL1 Pedals

so . . . the ZL-1 gas and brake pedal covers for A6 Camaros are available for less than $100.00. has anyone purchased them? how easy is it to install them? how do they compare with aftermarket pedals?

thanks.

They appear to be the same as the G8 pedals. Many folks have purchased the Pontiac G8 parts for both the A6 and M6.

There might be a option for you manual guys, The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP are supposed to come stock so you can see if you can find the part number that way. The ones I got are a upgrade for the G8.

So the install had its quirks but fairly simple, I had help from my brother which made things go a lot quicker. When you get the pedals it looks pretty straight foward but it isn't as easy as it looks at first glance. It takes some finger strength for the brake pedal. As for the gas pedal you have to take the cover the new gas pedal as it will not work with the Camaro as the connectors are different. It took nearly an hour.

The brake pedal takes a little playing with cause you have to strech the rubber portion over the pedal after you take off the old pad. The accelerator pedal comes complete with the TPS but it is different than the one on the Camaro. When you see the new pedal assemble, you will see 7 tabs on the back of the pedal and you only have to bend out 4 of them. 3 on one side and the one at the bottom of the pedal. You then simply slip them over the Camaro pedal, of which you have nothing to remove from the pedal it self unlike the brake pedal, and bend the tabs back. Use a pair of channel lock pliers and a piece of wood so as not to scratch the new pedals when you squeeze the tabs back down.

Now the nest mod im trying to talk Teccboxx into is the NOSsystem for the V6by Zex. Its only a little gas

His car needs to be seen in person. The best SIM out there.

Personally I like the SRP pedals better.

I have had the 'G8' pedals for my 2SS M6 since before I bought the car! I had noticed them on the Camaro Black showcar back in '09. I think they are superior to aftermarket pedals since they are a combination of rubber and aluminum (great for barefoot driving in the summer) and fit on perfectly, with no holes to drill and no brackets to attach. Plus, they don't affect the location of the pedals (like unintentionally move them closer to the driver) like some add on pedals do. I think they look great in the car too!

P.S. I have a brake pedal cover for the automatic, brand new in the packaging, part# 92173103, PM me if interested!
