Motor swap

Can anyone or has anyone done a motor swap? I have a v6 right now and I would like to do a motor swap later after I save up some money to do it. I would like to either switch to a ls3 or ls7. Beside from what the motor would cost how much should everything else cost me? I know I would have to change the console trim I have an automatic right now..and transmission etc. Thanks for any info!

Also aside from the motor swap has anyone purchased the OEM gfx from carid.com?

I think you'd be better buying a car with the LS3 already in it. It would certainly be cheaper and you'd have a warranty.

Unfortunately intofx is right. These cars are so new on the market that it makes more sense to sell yours or trade it in and pay a several grand more to get an SS. Don't worry too much, you can still get a good price for your LT if it's in good shape.

did a search for you using the google search function (regular search function sucks a$$)

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/google...p%3Ft%3D186546

A few of those threads mention carID and the GFX kit. Should get some info in those threads. Sorry but I'm too jumpy right now to search through them for you. I just got a ticket, lol

Carid.com is not selling a genuine GM GFX kit, it is aftermarket! They show those pictures with bezels on the rear diffusor and people think it's the real MCcoy, this is what a genuine kit looks like!

Ok thank you, I've looked at that kit on carid for a while because it was significantly cheaper but I'll just go the phasetek route an buy the side skirts and rear diffuser on there
